Mass X Acceleration

Does weight matters? I remember just a couple of years back, the flyers in our team can cry over insensitive remarks about their weight. Back then, as bases, we "complain" or poke fun at our flyers weight. Recently through broadened circle of friends in the cheerleading scene, I realised that this case is not only unique to our team, but it is also still apparent in many other teams as well.

But another thing I realised is that in recent times, dating back to when we were training for cheerobics 2007, we do not have the issue of flyers crying because of insensitive remarks. I wonder is it because they are more tolerant or is it because our bases stopped "complaining". I believe that it was the latter. It seems to me that our bases other than becoming much stronger, their techniques also improved by alot. The same goes for our flyers, not that their "mass X acceleration" decreased, but its their techniques that improved alot too. Nowadays doing stunts are relatively effortless, and that is the reason why we could throw and our flyers could fly all over the place. To the un-trained eye, it seems like we possess some sort of "qi gong". haha.

So why do bases often complain about the weight? It is because they have not repeat the feeling enough yet, they are not strong enough yet, they still lack the technique, they are not energy efficient yet, and the main thing is that they lack the drive.

So till the day mass X acceleration does not bother you, you have not truely mastered using the right techniques, you do not have enough strength yet, you won't be throwing and flying around freely, and you know that you still have a long way to improve.

Looking back on the nostalgic photos of 3 years ago, all of us were skinny and weak la, struggling with single extension. Just go back and see the photos 3 years ago and u will realise how much we have gone. as the taiwanese believe, there's no unstuntable fliers only weak bases. so must buff up la.
