.:::Why bother?:::.
Actually didn't want to post an entry here regarding this matter but thinking about it, makes me pissed. ATTENDANCE is totally shit, juniors not turning up for trainings is 1 issue by itself but seniors ? Surely, you all know the status and the situation in the team, unless one is blind, otherwise things are very clear cut.
We don't have 2 things, TIME and People, there's nothing we can do about time, except be more efficient during trainings but so far, who dare says training was efficient before. People turn up late, people just delaying and stuff? Training is at 6. It starts at 6, meaning it starts at 6 and not for people to start strolling in at 6. Already, the team keep lamenting about the shit we are facing but what specific actions we took to avoid stepping into them again. Clearly we reduced the number of performances already, but the upcoming 2 performances are unavoidable, and we are in dire situations cos of them.
Dire situations but who really worry about them? Surely not a few people. (I'm being sarcastic but i mean it). Why dire? Simply because we have injured seniors, and juniors aren't really performance material yet, and yet seniors are not turning up for trainings. Seniors use ur brains and think, there's already a manpower shortage, and excuses excusing yourself from training, is going to impose more stress on the one's present, there's only 2 ways the situation can go, either the 1 present do extra work, or training is as good as redudant, cos there isn't enough people to do anything. Cheerleading is a team sport, there is no I in team, and people are need even to do the most simpliest of things in cheerleading, be it basics or pyramids or dance or ANYTHING. Cheerleading is taking up more and more and more time, cos of inconsiderate people, Go figure. Think about it, if every 1 is nice and co-operate nicely, training starts on time, if training is efficient, if things that are to be done are accomplished, if things that are to be taught are learnt, WHO THE FUCK NEEDS EXTRA TRAINING.
Understandable is studies before cheer but go reflect upon it, really if every single thing goes well and smoothly, i reckon there's more than enough time for each and every one of us to get As, Seriously why spent time planning for more trainings and this and that, when trainings aren't even efficient and we cannot achieve what we want to accomplish during each training, then we drag and implicate another training to finish what we want to achieve this training?
Be thinking and responsible adults already, you choose this path, stick to it, bear the pain, endure the bane, leave at the end of the day with good memories and don't quit on the team. Believe in yourself and the team, trust your teammates they are 1 who catch u when u fall. IF everyone really contribute to the team, you think the team will fail?
Be considerate, people got limits, Know yours, cannot stunt, stop take a break, rest, help to spot. Focus then do again. Bases do not endanger the flyers by doing something surprising, Flyers let your bases know your condition, tired we will not scold you, everyone will get tired. Spotting is like almost non-existent in the team nowadays, especially with the juniors, the past 3 trainings i'm very sure there's always some flyer falling and hitting the ground. I wouldn't blame the juniors, seriously, as seniors we didn't inculcate good spotting habits in them, Flyers' safety seems to be of less importance now, just like our attendance. Nothing more to be said about spotting, everybody knows what to do, but who is really doing it?
Injuries are high man, all time high, to a extent we only have 2 active flyers at a certain point of time. What went wrong? Spotting? stunts too advance? We really got to reflect well and come up with a plan, otherwise there's not point in continuing when whenever we take a step forward, we fall 3 steps back. I feel injuries are a freaking lousy excuse not to come training, unless u are on freaking morphine. Every one can contribute some way some how, be it spotting, teaching juniors some stuff(read: dance, jumps, arm motions.) explaining to juniors stuffs(double read; juniors really know nuts), you don't need to be stunting to be useful in the team. There's tonnes of things to do when you are not feeling well. Already a man power crisis, and we got to train the juniors well and we need as much experience we can get.
Seniors set up a good example, i know myself, i'm not examplory but i'm really urging everyone to try to turn up for training on time, being more proactive in everything and be as co-operative as possible. If everyone were more considerate last time, i'm very fucking sure, the shit will never be there. CONFIRM. Do something for the team, if you really feel it feels like shit to be in the team, there's no I in team, really, be the team and take action to make it a better place.
Don't really take other team mates for GRANTED, really literally, the current culture is that people just assume others will help them. Sometimes people got their own priorities something we cannot force it upon them to change their priorities. Especially when training and performances, really would appreciate the effort last time, to ask everyone for availibity, be it last minute or be it advance job, a formality but a neccessary one. At least people feel respected and less coeherced into doing performances? I repeat, DO NOT TAKE OTHERS FOR GRANTED. Respect them and in due them you'll be respected
