Restless
Couldn't sleep. Dutifully went to bed at 12.30 but at 3.18 i 'woke up'. The mind and body was restless, logically i forced myself to go and sleep but it didn't happen. Simply couldn't get back into deep sleep. Did i screw my body clock up so bad that i'm wide awake now? Or is it that I'm restless knowing the big day is less than 12 hours away from now.
Far we have came together, 6 months, 6 months of training for this 1 day, 台下十年功,台上一分钟. All the time, all the pain, all the sacrifices, all the promises. All for this 1 day. What more can i ask for. Seriously I think i ain't the best teammate out there but I'm sure all of you are used to my latecoming and pah sehing ways. So too i have gotten used to all the little little stuff every 1 is so used to commit.
First i wanna apologise to every1 for the shit i stirred and the shit i created and the shit i'm part of. Thank you for being so patient and so forgiving. Its really too much to recall everything but i hope end of the day, we are still 1 family, as for me i must really learn to put difference behind and accept the way some things are and be a member of the team. Judgmental people might say of me, that i like to blacklist my 'friends', and these people are not fit to be my friend but who am i to do that. So i apologise to slp and melon for all the attitude these few weeks ba. forgive me.
2nd i want to congratulate every 1 for a job well done. we have really come a long way, from my first cheer rock competition to my 3rd cheerobics, some of you were there all the way with me, giving me guidance and sometimes giving me problems. i want to thank those who were with me before, for the memories we had together. i still want to say i love japan( a bit random). Let's persevere for the last few hours and put up a good show.
I can;t exactly pinpoint how i feel now, this feeling is something rare, i don't usually get it. Last year, was a year of confidence, there's really certain stuff we knew that will definitely go up, but this year, despite all the cries of confidence, deep down inside i think every 1 knows we cannot even slip for 1 moment, the moment we hesitate, or the moment we did something extra. though i admit yesterday the routine wasn't as tiring as before anymore, maybe we got the stamina already but still there's zero room for arrogance and it's time to be humble. i also feel that the biggest enemy isn't the ice cream, the rainbow or any other teams that might suddenly appear to topple us. our biggest enemy is ourselves, how many times movies show the downfall of the empire is due to overconfidence, arrogance and ignorance. This time i will show respect to all my competitors ( not saying i didn't last time) , respect to all my team mates, and respect to the judges, and respect to my routine. humility is the only way, no room for arrogance and ignorance and overconfidence.
i Started typing at 4.48 and now it's 5.27, doubt i can sleep anymore. maybe later after the warm up stuff i should go get some sleep. Time to meditate and stretch more for now and pack my stuff. For the newbies, just do the routine and enjoy urself, the feeling of adrenaline when the crowd cheer for u is like poison, savour the moment but don't ever over indulge in it, enjoy the sweet taste at the end of the day.
Let's bring the game and put up a good show for the audience and a good competitor for other teams else. GO ACES. HUMBLE for me.
I LOVE MY TEAM.
