Transformers

Transformers more than meets the eye.

The more you observe the more the team changes. From a team full of angst, to a team full of love. Full might be a wrong word too, it's overflowing sometimes when the POL is too strong, too much PDA appeared. As with all stuff the ugly side of POL also affect the team, the cold war, the mindless arguement, the sometimes redudant action done, the PDA.
How many times did the team have to work under pressure due to the friction between couples, though we treat them like we treat zomeone, ignore them, nonetheless it affected the team some way or another. Stunts either go up or don't, there is nothing much to talk about, why must always come down and say your fault or my fault. What's with the finger pointing, just make the point to tell each other how you feel about the stunt and try again. The team doesn't need to know whose fault it is, it only knows why it went wrong. Some people who cannot take critisms, simply show attitude and the team has to suffer(Shoulderstands have the bulk of it, just waiting for you to decide whose fault it is).
Petrol, Oil and Lubricants - all the stuff that makes machine works. None the less, POL is a seflish thing, and with the more couples in the team, the effect of this selfishness is more evident. Power couples simply surge forward like a storm, weaker couples have a chance definitely, it's the partnerless that is on the losing end, got to wait for others to help them train. got to help spot, help take photo, kanna scolding for being lousy, kanna embroiled in couple angst, and worse, endure PDA. Seldom are people so generous and magnimous to endure their own partner training with another person, but more often that not, couples are always training together and improving, seldom chances are given to other permutation simply because it's common sense to take the most consistent pairing for routine. Thus weaker permutations are worked around and not given the chances to pair up and train up.

I 'grew' up in the team under angst, all the 'Eh Lun Beh', either prove your point or just shut up(just got say this, NCJSUW), simple and yet effective. Don't like how is done, speak up and prove that you are right. Certain people benefitted particularly those who work fast around words(read: peng wei) but it's clear the team also decides. Stunts wise also, if you cannot do it better than others just shut up, or at least don't say stupid stuff. Speaking without thinking, always result in a 'chui tak lan' comment from your friends.
The funny thing about such crude way of dealing with each other is surprisingly effective and yet fun. We always sticking around and pay attention to the person speaking just to catch him/her off guard and we'll get a joke for a week, a month or even a year. Just fun to train that way. Gonna admit i'm pretty much a victim of the system several times, but it helped me to think with my brain and reduce the amount of stupidity coming out of me(read: appear smarter).
Stunts wisely, easily the most effective. Buck up or endure the rubbish throw at you. No matter how smelly it can get, it only person who helps you out of it is yourself. Train hard so they will shut up, how familiar is the 'big man, no energy'. No matter how pissed are you with another person, the only way to shut him up is to make sure he shuts up by showing him you can prove him wrong.

Some people work only under stress, some people work well with stress, some people cannot work well with stress, some people cannot take stress. Now in the 'POL era' , encouragement free like water, no even water need money, free like air. Encouragement works but too much of anything is no good. It becomes useless and even worse. It creates self doubt and become 'addicted'. Should come with a tag, "Dispense moderately and only when needed", cos it doesn't take a genius to realise it doesn't work on all people.

Peaceful times don't produce warriors. The environment forces us to succeed. Remember why we were so bloody desperate to beat magnum 05/06, cos of the online war, lose online liao, only way to shut them up, is to beat them, and we did a good job. Made them understand we are no pushovers, telling them action speaks louder than words. What's the point of kicking up a big fuss, no we are not petty, nor are we childish enough to continue with mindless batter, just want to get the respect we deserve and to prove our point, and show them this is how adults handle stuff.

Why all the expectations, what for, why do we expect? If we expect some things from you, means we 'see you got up', look down on you why expect something from you. If you got nothing to offer, we'll not expect anything.

Maybe it's the surge of couple-dom in the team and preaching of love, that nowadays, we cannot work under critisms, the slightest remark may become offensive and taken to heart. Tolerance towards other team members also decrease and encouragements seems like a necessacity, worse of all, being caught in the crossfire.

The old me prefers the 'elb' era, simply we take pride in the stuff we did, while respecting each other for their strengths, and the 'reverse psychology encouragement', there was a sense of professionalism in the team, we don't fool around with each other only but with everyone. People are more forgiving, more understanding, more helpful, more driven, more fun. Seldom the team would hide 1 corner to enjou their private time, and the team seems to work better and when emo happens it doesn't come in pairs. O well i think i like to be treated more as an individual rather than be 'someone's someone' . POL ain;t good just i don't prefer the changes it brought along. But who knows i might be singing another song when the freshies come in.
